“I was given the opportunity to join Gina, the Head of BD & Marketing, as she discussed the Heart of Bucks fund at Wycombe Sound.”
On my first day of work experience for B P Collins, I was given the opportunity to join Gina, the Head of Business Development and Marketing, as she discussed the Heart of Bucks fund on live radio. I documented Gina’s conversation for the BPC social media platforms in the studio at Wycombe Sound Radio and I was able to experience the day to day life in a radio studio.
It was an exciting chance to see closely the works of professionals in the industry. After a few songs played by a range of artists, the time came and a bright red “On Air” glowed just behind Gina. With a smooth and clear voice, DJ Pippa introduced Gina and asked a variety of questions about B P Collins’ funding and the nomination system. The conversation between the two flowed as though they were the only ones present, enjoying a normal chat about work. It was brilliant.
“The atmosphere was beyond what I had expected as there was no tension or any sort of pressure.”
The atmosphere was beyond what I had expected as there was no tension or any sort of pressure. As I was looking round I noticed that Pippa had many boards with sliding buttons all with a different use which looked rather complicated.
It was really enjoyable watching Gina and Pippa converse and I was impressed with how well Gina performed on live radio. An exciting start to my work experience at B P Collins and I look forward to seeing what else in store.
