B P Collins is a real cracker!

Christmas is approaching faster than Santa’s sleigh, and while this can bring an extremely busy time trying to get everything wrapped up for clients in time for Christmas, for me it also marks the half way point of my training contract. I can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone – but there’s plenty of time for festive fun to be had before the Christmas break.

Of course, the main event is the firm’s Christmas party, which this year will be at Stoke Place Hotel. I hear that there will be some fantastic food (I understand menu choices were returned very quickly!) and for those who want to maximise the merriment, this year (as always) a group of people from all across the firm – trainees, qualified solicitors and support staff – will be staying in a local hotel. B P Collins is a very social firm and the Christmas party is no exception!

Most practice groups organise a smaller Christmas bash for their teams as well and these have been known to take on the form of anything from delicious meals out to tackling escape rooms. This year, my current practice group, Employment, are running a secret Santa too – to make things easier for my Santa, if you are reading this, I would like a puppy please, although if you can’t manage that something else will have to do.

“I can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone – but there’s plenty of time for festive fun to be had before the Christmas break.”

I’ll also be helping out at the Gerrards Cross Christmas Festival on the 5th December where we’ll be serving up rum punch, handing out mince pies and running a pop festive photo booth.  Events like this are always worth attending as a trainee as they offer a great opportunity to have fun with your colleagues as well as the firm’s clients and the local community and building up those strong relationships stands you in good stead as you move around the firm.

All in all, the festive season at B P Collins is shaping up to be a real cracker!
